When you look at a rose, what do you see? Or, a sunrise? Or, the ocean?
Is each not perfect?
Perhaps it is because they are not of you, so their perfection is easy to acknowledge.
What about things that you had a hand in?
If you are a parent, is your child not perfect?
Have you not prepared the perfect meal, or other celebration for an occasion?
Or, was that because others said it was perfect?
Perfection is a concept. An idea. A thought.
What is perfect for one may not be perfect for another. But, that does not change its essence.
You can practice being perfect, doing things perfectly.
As a practice, this is an ongoing effort, doing the best you can today. Doing the best you can tomorrow. It may get better, if you judge it so. Or, it may not.
Today it may rain. Tomorrow the sun may shine. Which day is perfect, which imperfect? Or, is it just a day?
Trying to live for that perfect moment, when things are just right, seems like a lot of work.
Better perhaps to live perfectly, presently, seeing each moment as it is.
Transient.
Now.
